Position magazine: A mirror on African arts As
a colorful international arts review published in
Nigeria since 2001, Position Magazine has since been
keeping its promise of bringing to the fore the world of
African arts, artists and the complex issues that
concern them. Editor and publisher of the magazine, Dapo
Adeniyi said the magazine at inception had a choice to
make. There was the option of focusing on issues
surrounding African arts.

Nigerian born artist, Yisa Akinbolaji is participating in a group exhibition at the Mennonite Heritage Centre; Winnipeg, Canada titled “Invisible Dignity”. His dexterity and uncompromising freedom in his color usage, has earned him several commissioned projects in mosaic installations. Yisa recently installed a dynamic new mosaic in the front yard of his home titled “Peace and Purpose”. The unveiling ceremony literally stopped traffic. Read more
